What is a “Focused” or “Targeted” Treatment?
A focused or targeted treatment is the term we use to describe skincare services that are generally more invasive but can yield more dramatic results when followed correctly.
Which treatments are best for anti-aging?
Microneedling, Pro-Cell Microchanneling, and Chemical Peels are going to be the best treatments for anti-aging.
Which treatments are best for acne?
Chemical Peels or the Anti-acne facial are going to be the best way to treat active acne prone skin. For skin with acne scarring, choose Microneedling.
Which treatments are best for improving skin texture?
All of our Focused Treatments provide an improvement in over-all skin texture and the appearance of pores.
How can I maintain my skin at home after my appointments?
By following Linda’s recommended regimen including retail products and follow-up appointments.
What is the difference between Microneedling, Micro channeling, and the Nano Facial?
Each of these services uses different methods to provide similar results with varying degrees of abrasiveness:
– Microneedling involves the use of The Skin Pen and collagen + peptide rich, hyaluronic acid serum. The depth of the needles on the Skin Pen are adjustable.
– Micro Channeling involves the use of a device similar to a Skin Pen with adjustable needle depth but using ProCell serums containing growth factors derived from human bone marrow. These growth factors support cellular renewal and have strong regenerating properties.
– The Nano Facial is the least invasive out of the three and does not require the use of numbing cream beforehand. This is a more approachable version of the two services above for those who may be uncomfortable with the use of needles.
What is the difference between Dermabrasion and Dermaplaning?
Dermaplaning is the removal of dead skin cells and peach fuzz using a professional scalpel blade while Dermabrasion, also known as the Diamond Peel, uses a machine that suctions to the skin using an abrasive tip that removes the top layer of skin as it is moved across your skin. Your skin may be slightly pink after a Dermabrasion treatment but there is really no down-time.
Both noticeably improve the texture of the skin but out of the two, a Dermabrasion is a deeper treatment with longer lasting results and can sometimes help with surface pigmentation.
How frequently should I come in for treatments?
This varies from treatment to treatment and person to person, but generally expect 4-6 weeks between treatments.
